AI product ads that sell: the real product, in four formats

An AI product ad works when the product on screen is the one that arrives in the box. Here is how U3 builds them, the four formats it uses, and what the published work in Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt shows.

What makes an AI product ad sell?

An AI product ad sells when it does two things at once: it stops the scroll in the first seconds, and it shows the product honestly, so the ad matches what the customer receives. At U3, the product is the one thing AI is not allowed to reinvent. Each ad is built from the client's real product shots, with its packaging, colourway and label, and everything around the product, from the room to the light to the crowd, is generated.

The order of work follows from that. A product ad has about two seconds to earn the next twenty, so the hook is built first, the frame that makes a thumb stop, and the rest of the ad is built around it: the product in use, the detail that sells it, and the line that makes someone take a screenshot. The product ads page shows the method on real work.

Four formats for one product

U3's published product ads use four formats. Each answers a different question a buyer has, so one product often needs more than one of them.

  • Story: a short narrative that ends on the product's real features. For Fine Mattress Cool Touch in Qatar, a penguin shipped to a villa in the heat looks for somewhere cold enough to live and finds it on the mattress, in a 68-second story ad.
  • Feature: the product and its specifications, on screen and in the market's dialect. TCL's ads in Iraq include a 16-second inverter air-conditioner ad and a 19-second front-load washer ad, each in Iraqi Arabic with the specs on screen.
  • UGC-style: a creator talking into her phone with the product in use. For TRU HUE's Glow Halo highlighter, U3 made an ultra-realistic UGC-style ad with the product going on skin.
  • Hypermotion: the product moving in ways no camera could follow. Two hypermotion films show the same TRU HUE bottle moving through liquid bronze and rings of light.

Show the real product honestly

Honesty in a product ad is practical before it is a principle. If the colour, the label or the size on screen differs from what arrives in the box, the ad promises something the product cannot deliver. That is why U3 builds the product from the client's own product shots and keeps it fixed, while the setting changes freely: a villa in the heat, a showroom, a creator's bathroom mirror, liquid bronze.

UGC-style ads carry their own rules. U3 calls them UGC-style creative because they are advertising made by the studio, not content made by users. A synthetic presenter is never presented as a real customer, AI-generated presenters are labelled where the platform or the law requires it or where a viewer could otherwise assume a real person, and product claims come only from the client's approved facts. The full rules are on the UGC-style ads page.

Built for testing: hooks, languages and placements

The cost of a product ad usually sits in the shoot: a studio day, shipped samples, a talent day rate, and a reshoot when the next flavour or size launches. AI production removes those lines, and because there is no shoot to redo, the variations you want to test are made inside the same production: different hooks, different endings, different languages.

Each ad is made in its market's language, Gulf, Iraqi or Egyptian Arabic, or English, and conformed to the placements it has to live in: vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, square for the feed, and wide for YouTube and the product page. One idea is conformed to every placement, rather than a wide film awkwardly cropped at the end.

This is what turns one ad into a production line. New products, new SKUs, seasonal versions, vertical versions and cutdowns can all come out of one production system, not only one hero film.

What the published AI product ads show

The product ads case study covers vertical ads for Fine Mattress, TCL, TRU HUE, First Step and more, in Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, made without a studio day. They went out to real customers in real markets, not to a showreel. The figures published with them are results of individual ads, not a promise for the next one, and each names its source:

  • Fine Mattress Cool Touch, Qatar: 65 mattresses sold from one story ad, as reported by the client, with 20K+ views.
  • TCL air conditioners, Iraq: 20K+ views, confirmed by U3.
  • First Step, Qatar: two wordless films for an autism care centre; the opening film passed 20K+ views, confirmed by U3.

How to brief an AI product ad

The clearer the brief, the closer the first cut lands to the picture in your head. For a product ad, send:

  • Your real product shots and brand assets: packaging, colourway, label and logo.
  • The market and the language: Gulf, Iraqi or Egyptian Arabic, or English.
  • The placements: Reels, TikTok, Shorts, the feed, YouTube or the product page.
  • The claims you can stand behind, so every line on screen comes from approved facts.
  • How many hooks or versions you want to test.

Scope, payment and the next step

Every project is scoped from its brief and quoted on its own, with no public rate card and no fixed packages. For production, payment is 50% to start and 50% on delivery. Send a product ad brief, see AI commercials and campaigns if the launch also needs a hero film, or read what sets the price of an AI video ad.

Questions buyers ask

Will the product in an AI ad look like the real one?

Yes. U3 builds the product from your own product shots, with its packaging, colourway and label, so the ad matches what arrives in the box. Only the setting around the product is generated.

Which formats work for AI product ads?

U3's published product ads use four: story, feature, UGC-style and hypermotion. One product can carry several, like TRU HUE's Glow Halo, which has a UGC-style ad and two hypermotion films.

Are AI presenters in UGC-style ads shown as real customers?

No. A synthetic presenter is never presented as a real customer, AI-generated presenters are labelled where the platform or the law requires it, and real customer testimonials are used only with that customer's written consent.

Can one product ad come in several languages and sizes?

Yes. Ads are made in Gulf, Iraqi or Egyptian Arabic, or English, and conformed to vertical, square and wide placements, with hook and language variations built inside the same production.

How much does an AI product ad cost?

There is no public rate card. Each ad is scoped from a brief and quoted as its own project; for production, payment is 50% to start and 50% on delivery.
