How do you enter a new country without arriving like a new brand?
First Step had an established presence in Kuwait and was preparing to open in Doha. Two short vertical films carried the trust of the Kuwait operation into Qatar — culturally specific, made for phones, without a word of dialogue.
First Step — autism care centre, Kuwait & Qatar
No dialogue · Arabic on-screen text · Markets: Qatar · Kuwait
In brief: U3 AI Agency developed a market-entry AI campaign for First Step, a Kuwaiti autism care centre expanding into Qatar: two vertical films (15s and 30s) with no dialogue and Arabic on-screen text, built around the 965 → 974 dialling-code idea, with no child filmed.
- Films: 2 — 15s opening · 30s journey (Confirmed by U3)
- Markets: 2 — Kuwait → Qatar (Confirmed by U3)
- Dialogue: 0 — told entirely in pictures (Confirmed by U3)
The business problem
Announce Qatar, carry the trust and history of the Kuwait operation, feel culturally specific, introduce the new branch and speak to premium Qatari families — on a phone, in seconds, without putting a child on camera.
Why the obvious approach wasn't enough
Announce a new branch in a new country to parents who have never heard the centre's name — sensitively, quickly, and in a format that works on a phone. A centre for children on the autism spectrum cannot put its children on camera, and a Kuwait team could not spend weeks shooting in Doha.
The U3 idea
Say it without saying it. The opening film is fifteen seconds and one image: a child turning wooden number blocks from 965, Kuwait's dialling code, to 974, Qatar's. The second film is the journey — a child, a suitcase, an airport and a therapist's hand — so the announcement became a story parents could feel.
Why it mattered
Generated locations meant no Kuwait team had to spend weeks shooting in Doha and no child had to be filmed; the same character and world carried from the first film into the second, one production cycle later.
What we built
A market-entry creative system: the 965 → 974 teaser, the airport-and-suitcase journey film, Doha and branch storytelling, Qatar-specific branding, and vertical social formats.
Production system
- Two vertical films built for social feeds, with no dialogue and Arabic on-screen text.
- A consistent child character and the centre's own identity across both films.
- Generated locations — a home, Kuwait International Airport, the gate — with no filming in either country.
- The second film commissioned after the first: the same character, the same world, one production cycle later.
What shipped
- “Now Open in Qatar” — 15s vertical film
- “The Journey to Qatar” — 30s vertical film
Craft & finishing
- Editing: Two vertical cuts, 15s and 30s, built for social feeds.
- Motion design: Arabic on-screen text carries the message in place of dialogue.
Proof
- Opening film: 20K+ views — reported on the centre's channels (Confirmed by U3, as of Sep 2026)
Before → After
Before:
- A centre known in Kuwait, unknown in Qatar
- A launch that could not put children on camera
- A Kuwait team that could not spend weeks shooting in Doha
After:
- Two vertical films announcing the Doha branch
- The Kuwait identity carried into Qatar: 965 → 974
- A second film commissioned after the first — same character, same world
